Stop in any time between 4:30-7:30pm.
Here’s the top 4 things to do at this event:
- The church will be open for families to walk together to pray the Stations of the Cross for Children.
- There will be centers around the church to stop by and learn:
HSCC’s great wooden cross, where did the wood come from, and what does it feel like to pray at the foot of the cross?
What does a Crown of Thorns look like?
How heavy was the cross that Jesus carried?
What’s the difference between a cross and a crucifix?
- There will be time to have a meatless dinner. We are serving breakfast for dinner, yummy!
- Since we are focusing on the cross, the make and take project, will be for families to make a matchstick and mosaic rock cross for you to hang in your home during Lent. Don’t worry we will have all 16,000 matches burnt and all the cross bases cut out of wood, long before you arrive. We have awesome volunteers at work.
