Rehearsals begin September 9, 2015. The full schedule is available below.
High School Choir
The High School Choir is a youth music program for singers and instrumentalists in grades 9-12. Its main purpose is to continue the liturgical and musical formation of our older youths, foster community amongst their peers, to mentor them in their spiritual journey, and prepare them to continue their ministry in the Church as they prepare for college and beyond. The High School Choir will be at the 11:00am Mass once per month. Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays from 7:15pm – 8:45pm beginning October 20. The full schedule is available below.
The Adult Choir consists of parishioners whose musical abilities range from the simple carrying of a tune to those with accomplished music-reading and singing skills. The choir is thus an image of the Church itself, in which there are many different gifts which come from and serve the Spirit of God. Though essentially "traditional," they sing a wide range of music from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. Choir members continually build their musical and vocal skills, learning from each other in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm (with other seasonal/sectional rehearsals scheduled on an as-needed basis), and sing on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, occasional Holy Day liturgies, and special programs, generally from September through May. Because of the amount of music the choir must prepare, consistent attendance is necessary and expected.
