Interviewing your Confirmation Sponsor
Now, that you have chosen your sponsor, it's time to spend a little more time together. Call your sponsor to set up a time. Plan on this interview to take at least an hour. You can meet at your house or your sponsor's house; you could meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner; go for a walk. Be creative! You may need to make different arrangements if your sponsor lives out of town.
Although you will be asking your sponsor questions in the format of an interview, your meeting should really be a discussion, with you adding your insight and thoughts to the conversation.
- Start your time together by praying.
- Complete the "Interviewing Your Sponsor Summary" after your interview (NOT while you are meeting with your sponsor.) Have your sponsor sign it or your parent if not meeting in person.
